Hi Queer Tech IRL community,
It was great seeing many of you at the Queer Tech IRL + Gaingels holiday party this week. I absolutely loved learning about what folks are building, supporting, and investing in.
I had the chance to talk to dozens of people about what they are creating. I am always inspired by this crew of builders and the commitment to using tech to create a better world. Here are just a few of the many highlights from the founders and investors I spoke with:
Rainbopedia: Founder Eric Handle is building Wikipedia for LGBTQ+ history. Super important work, now more than ever.
Hadley: Founder Yosh Miller is empowering families across the country to save and invest in their future through 529 benefits.
Matt Gerlach, professional coach: Helping founders and business leaders get unstuck and move forward boldly with vision and bravery.
Sherlock: Founder Dominic Le Fort is empowering HR professionals to supercharge their consulting businesses.
Hive: Founder Bee Davies is pushing the boundaries of entertainment with tech.
And of course, Gaingels: my favorite investors and the leading force in creating a better world through investing in diverse founders.
The list goes on and on.

Keep an eye out for more from Queer Tech IRL. Many of you asked what is coming next, and the short answer is that 2026 is going to be a big year. We are introducing new types of experiences: curated meetups, themed sessions for founders and investors, and events built around useful, relevant content. More depth, more connection, and more opportunities for everyone to get involved.
If you are interested in co-hosting or sponsoring an event next year, reply here and let me know. I would love to collaborate.
On a related note, through Build Momentum I am developing a venture studio model focused on supporting and investing in the most innovative LGBTQ+ early-stage founders. If you would like to get involved, share feedback, or offer ideas as this takes shape, I would really appreciate it. This is something I am building with constant community input.
Thanks again for making this such a meaningful year. And a HUGE thanks to my favorite co-hosts, Brian and Gaingels!
Warmly,
Michael Meo, founder Queer Tech IRL
